Close to the Castel campsite, the Vaches Noires cliffs are a remarkable natural site on the Normandy coast between Houlgate and Villers-sur-Mer. These cliffs, over 100 metres high, are famous for their unique geological formations and fossils dating back to the Jurassic period.

Stroll along the coast and you’ll discover ammonites, belemnites and other prehistoric remains. The site is also appreciated for its breathtaking sea views. Please note, however, that direct access to the cliffs is restricted due to the risk of landslides.
